We read every invoice, find where your money leaks, and help you keep it. Big-hotel purchasing discipline for independents: run by a luxury-hotel purchasing director, powered by software that never gets tired of line items.
You didn't open your doors to audit invoices. That's our job.
Forward them, snap photos, or give us read-only access. Your free Spend Snapshot shows your top three leaks.
We clean 90 days of purchases into one price history and hand you a plan, ranked by dollars.
Vendor bids, contract fixes, group-purchasing rebates and a waste plan. You approve; we do the legwork.
Every new invoice gets checked. Prices creep back, you hear about it that week.
Dollars saved and what's next, as a video you watch anytime: quarterly on Watch, monthly on Partner and Group, with a call with Josh on request.
Automated price watching for a single location.
We watch and we do the cutting for you.
Two to five locations, one set of books.
Annual plans are a 12-month term, billed monthly, and renew for another 12 months unless you cancel at least 30 days before the term ends. We email you a reminder with the new price at least 60 days ahead. Leaving early costs two months of fees.
Ninety days after your Savings Roadmap, we measure your yearly savings against a target of three times your onboarding fee. If we fall short, we refund one-third of the shortfall, up to your full onboarding fee. Plain-English terms, no fine-print games.

For more than a decade I've run purchasing for hotels and restaurants where every case, every contract and every fee had to earn its place.
Luxury resorts in Miami. A 685-room golf resort. Today, one of the most decorated inns in the country. I know how distributors build a price, where contracts hide their escalators, and which fees nobody remembers agreeing to. I've run the big group-purchasing programs and built the receiving checks that stop you paying for product that never came off the truck.
Here's what bugs me: the chains get all of that. Independent owners get a sales rep and a stack of invoices. I started The Cost Butcher to give the independents, the ones that will never have a purchasing department, the same edge.
No. We start with the vendors you already use and get them to sharpen their pencils. We only suggest a switch when the savings are real, and only with your OK.
About an hour to get going: send invoices or give read-only access, then one 60-minute Roadmap review. After that, it's video you watch anytime: a quarterly report on Watch, a monthly one on Partner and Group. Partner and Group clients can book a 30-minute call with Josh each quarter whenever they want one.
Then the butcher's guarantee kicks in. Ninety days after your Roadmap, we measure the savings: price cuts on the same items, times what you actually buy in a year. If that doesn't reach three times your onboarding fee, we refund one-third of the shortfall, up to your full onboarding fee. Miss completely and you get the whole fee back. Savings you chose not to act on still count, and market-wide price shocks (think egg shortages) don't count against us.
Pick month-to-month and you can leave with 30 days' notice. Annual plans cost about 20% less and run 12 months, then renew unless you cancel at least 30 days before the end. We email you a reminder at least 60 days ahead with your next year's price and a year in review, so a renewal never sneaks up on you. If you need out of an annual plan early, it's two months of fees, or whatever's left in the term if that's less.
Annual prices are locked for your first 12 months. At each renewal, and on each anniversary for month-to-month plans, the price rises 4%, and we tell you in writing at least 30 days before. Any other change needs your written OK.
Your invoices live in your own secure folder. We never share or sell them, your vendor pricing stays confidential, and we delete them within 90 days if you leave.
Sometimes, and we tell you up front. A few programs we may recommend, like group-purchasing organizations or card processors, pay referral fees. Those fees help us keep your price low. Not every consultant discloses them; we put every one in writing before you join a program that pays us. Our recommendations come from your invoice data, never from who pays us. You keep every rebate. If a card processor pays us a monthly share of your fees, we credit every cent back to you for as long as you're a client. Referral fees are icing on the cake, not how we make our living.
A good butcher trims the fat and leaves the good stuff. Same idea, applied to your invoices. (Also, "Procurement Optimization Partners" didn't fit on the apron.)
Tell us a little about your place. We'll send instructions for forwarding 30 days of invoices, then a one-page report of your top three leaks within 2 business days of receiving them.
